Jamie Lynn Spears and Britney Spears Are Not Reconciling Anytime Soon - This is Why

Jamie Lynn Spears may not be releasing her new memoir, Why? Cos Britney isn't backing down. The family feud continues to rage and it isn't subsiding soon. If her sister Jamie Lynn continues to make "derogatory" statements about her while promoting a new book, Britney Spears says she will sue her.
Britney's lawyer Matthew Rosengart argues in a cease and desist letter that the "ill-timed" biography contains multiple "misleading or outrageous claims."

Although Britney has not read the book, she believes her sister has "exploited her for monetary gain," he said.

"She will not tolerate it, nor should she," the letter continued.

Since Jamie Lynn Spears appeared on Good Morning America recently to promote her book, "Things I Should Have Said", Britney and her sister have been locked in a verbal struggle.

Her personal life story is purportedly detailed in the book, including her young daughter's near-fatal tragedy in 2017, her relationship with Britney Spears, and her role in the singer's contentious conservatorship.

Jamie Lynn characterized herself as "my sister's biggest supporter" during the interview, and stated she "made efforts to help" remove the conservatorship.

She also described Britney's earlier behavior in the book as "erratic," "paranoid," and "spiralling" in a recent interview with ABC.

Jamie Lynn said in a podcast released earlier that her sister began "shifting" in 2002. Britney allegedly locked herself in a room with a knife and told Jamie Lynn she was "scared," according to her account.
