Fat women are still beautiful: but beware of obesity

Obesity is a disease that has been a worrying issue in the world today, more and more ladies particularly in the Western world today are conscious of the stigma that is attached to being overweight. Any perceived or actual increase in size is often seen as an anathema which is as a source of social disapproval. While some are naturally slim, others are plump as encoded in their genes. Social acceptance or disapproval of body structure emanates from the culture of the society and passed on from generation to generation.
African men (not all) are particularly wary of slim women, whom they label as unfed, sick, bony and are symbolically compared to the letter 1, stick or a tiny broom. In sexual terms they tag them as not 'handy', shortchanged and deprived of the vital body structures to get them aroused. They are favourably inclined to fat women, they believe these women are the endowed. To be a plump woman means beauty to the African man. To him, she is handy, and fleshy to peruse. To him, it is the quantity of breast that matters and the swinging of the waist that is more important. Folks meet under tree during leisure time and often praise those with particularly exceptionally endowed figure 8 wives.
This sexual inclination is helped by the genetic construction of African women to the extent that even those who are not plump before marriage gradually burst up becoming more fleshy with much adoration from observing friends and admirable husbands. Obesity was never an issue with with African women as though, plump, they were still active in the fields, this was a source of exercise which enables them burn calories. They are agile, strong and fit. The fattening room among the Efik people of Cross river state in Nigeria is a perfect example of the "plump is beautiful" social construct.
However, due to the social stigma associated with plump women in the west, fat, busty pupils and students with fat tendencies are often bullied in schools, Such students often have low self-esteem and are sometimes ostracized. Many women now have to engage in exercise and dieting, and had become Nutritionists' experimental laboratory.
We've had extreme cases of overweight women who tried to conform to social dictates by taking extreme measures in order to get slim which consequently results in grave health problems and death. The media has further promoted the stigma against obese or fat women, as hardly would one  find a billboard advert with a plump woman. Young men today across the world have become accustomed to divas and music superstars, fashion shows and red carpets on TV and social media. They (not all though) are now inclined to attach slimness to beauty. This new trend is causing a gulf between today's biologically endowed and socially approved.
Women must develop a psychological immunity to this trend. First, appreciate what you have, your inner self is the best expression of beauty. Know that love is not a function of body structure as many slim girls have been wounded severally by those who claim to love them. Where social admiration exists, individual preference still persist and love as so-called goes beyond the physical structure which will always change as we age. So plump women must beware of negative social definitions affecting their personal lives. You can still be loved. Obesity is socially defined and does not have anything to deal with one's mental state except it threatens the physical well-being of the individual and hinders such from carrying out his duties and pursue social course in freedom an happiness, until then you remain just plump or fat and you're beautiful the way you are.
